Hey Knight,

Thanks for the tip.

I thought about that, but the pipe weld is on the bottom and that's why we decided to line it up like a gunsight. If I "X" it, you'll see the pipe weld off to one side or another.

I figured that a gunsight turbine ("Now-Silent Bob" used to use shower drains and 5-gallon paint cans) was a small price to pay for working flames.

Can you forgive me?

We fabbed up the seat brackets tonight, but didn't get them welded up in time for a photo op.

That will be tomorrow's pics.

Till then...

I see.  I didn't mean to nitpick.  I just wanted to give you a heads up in case you missed that minor detail.   I certainly understand why you set up the flames that way after your explanation.

AWESOME WORK!  What material did you use to create the windshields?

I don't have a batmobile, but I have a remote R2-D2

Hey Knight,

I bought my canopies from Jim @ Bat Rodz. They are crystal clear and well worth the money! They are molded like "Now-Silent Bob's" used to be.

I couldn't be happier with them.

Still haven't taken a pic of the seats. (Sorry ) But like the canopies, those brand new seats have no business in a metal shop. We take the out of storage for fittings and measurements, then toss them back to keep them safe.

This being my "mobile temporary storage facility"

Seems like every time I want to bolt them up for a photo op... we've got something else going on and it never gets shot.

I'll do so soon.

Yesterday saw the headlights (You can see them behind the Black Beauty Limo) installed.

Today was the door locks and the rocket tubes

Tomorrow is the arch bar and the Bat beam.

Paint shop is scheduled one week from this Monday!

Tune in tomorrow, Same Bat-time, same Bat-website!

OK...

So the archbar project got bumped to monday.

But here's the seat pic I've been promising.

(YES! I KNOW! that the seats are leaning. They're NOT bolted down, just sitting in the mounting holes. CHILL! hehehehe )

Chain Cutter anyone?

YES! it retracts.

And it doesn't rest on the radiator...

But DAMN, if this owner pulls a "Woodside" then the chain cutter is gonna slice right through the radiator.

Later Bat-dudes!

The cover up continues:

Kory was on the BOTB board posting that their site was up and running and that Brin was the new administrator for the site. Several posters inquired about the bad press Mark was getting. Others didn’t care for the site.

I posted short post saying Marks bad press can be seen on the 89 board with a link to this thread. It wasn’t on that board five minuets before Brin pulled it with his usual slanted remark.

Heres Brins remark...

Hey Nodeman,
You don't get to create your drama here. Do something constructive...finish your own car, and leave Mark alone.
I'll be taking over the FORUM at GG.net, so you can come visit and watch the progress.
Lrcrow, if you have any questions, you can contact me by phone, I'll be glad to leave you my number.
-Brin

We didn't CREATE the drama... someone just brought it to our attention.

(I never DID find that Bat-dew rag, so here's my MT tribute photo...)

"PLYWOOD???!!!... We don't need no stinkin' plywood!"

Roll (arch) bar is up. We're attaching the bat turn lever tomorrow and fitting up the deck panels.

I got carried away making wheel bats today using up all the scrap diamond plate aluminum.

I have enough for all my "bat-friends" (Check your mailboxes guys!) and I'm also gonna toss a few sets up on eBay tomorrow for $100 bucks a set. (Gotta buy Easter candy for my neice and nephew ya know!)

Anybody here who needs a set can PM me and I'll give you my paypal ID. I have aluminum 89 wheelbats too, but those suckers are heavy, even for aluminum (check post archive for pics, or wait till I post pics of both tomorrow) AND... they are CNC'd and not bandsawed, so those guys are 5 times more expensive... sorry.

After I'm done making some quick Easter Ebay cash, I'm gonna turn them over to Bat Rodz and Jim will be offering them at whatever he wants to sell them for.

Till then... Hundred bucks a pop (Unpainted... I'm sure you can figure out how to use a spray can... if NOT??? Why are you building a Batmobile in the first place?)

Later dudes!

Your right Kev, I didn't have the time to hunt around for that photo to model it properly.

I'll get it right next time...

Here they are!

Oh... and Bat Rodz is still having trouble with his account DH.

He asked me to link this auction for a body

Gotta run, lots to do tomorrow!

Arch barrin' and fenderwellin' our butts off.

And we got almost all the shroud-work done so that all of the air will be forced into the radiator. No coolant issues here for the 460.

Tomorrow is steering wheel and steering column day.
