| Tim, is this because mainly because of the fuel cell you chose? In other words, is there a way make the fuel caps functional using a different fuel cell?

The only way I can think of it working with the fuel caps is to sink a fuel cell down on both sides of the driveshaft. You would then need to re-route your exhaust which isn't a big deal.
The extra work comes in plumbing the system like a fuel injected truck running dual fuel tanks. This means dual pumps, switch over valves, duel fuel gauges etc. Basically running one main and one reserve. It also makes the car a bit unbalanced as the weight shifts from one side to the other.
You may be able to get it to work with a single tank that was only 6" tall, but even that would be a challenge

| The alternative of putting it in the trunk does not work for you because your cabin is open up to the back of the trunk?

Yeah that was another thing I was thinking about. I know in the onstar car they are open with mesh inserts. I just need a way to close them off when I'm washing the car or it's raining.
