They are off a 1978 Ford Escort RS2000 MK2 or similar type. There are forums for those who restore the car but good luck in finding the seats---I looked and search but no luck. I've never seen them in the US, majority of the site I browse through are Europeian (there must be a lot of them over sea laying around somewhere). There was one that had no tears or burns and in good shape but it was SOLD.

Here's one of Scheel seats on a BMW...It looks pretty closed to the Recaro and it should work nicely on the 89'. Other Scheel seat I found while searching even look closer/similar to the picture above. I believed late Recaro seats was made by Scheel once upon time.
