No doubt, Tim's '89 cart is awesome!...maybe a little too fast for a 5 yr old ...I haven't given it to him yet, still too cold, better weather next weekend!...when I get some pics of him driving it, I'll post them -Matt

I saw that at toys r us and didn't have a kid that size anymore, so I had to pass! But one of my favorite Christmas photos is my first kid in a Keaton battery powered car in front of the Christmas tree!
That thing is BIG! Make sure he has some sort of cape, not some towel like most of the guys here used when they were little.

RE: There's a Batmobile in my trunk!!
Thanks Chris...sounds good to me, I'll send you a PM to get a day pinned down, ok?...yeah, the Lincoln's not in bad shape...I bought it from a guy who had a quick 'restoration' done on it for his daughters wedding in 1998...after that, it sat in his barn collecting dust...a friend of mine introduced me to the old guy, and he sold it to me for $1200, not bad...it has some of the typical rust under the rear fenders, but that will be no problem come Spring...so far it runs great, no troubles at all! -Matt
Here's the '66...I hope to start the restoration this Spring as well!

I like that car. I doubt a 268lb guy would fit, but I have seen a pice of a 190lb guy in his.

Those cars are savage. I'd love one of those big American cars. I think a modded one of those would be great advertisement for the business. Are they all that cheap. Wot engine is in it lad????

RE: There's a Batmobile in my trunk!!
Whoa...thanks for the background music, Tim...funny
hey Dee...a Lincoln like the dark blue '79 are relatively cheap...thing is they are usually owned by older people who just want them out of their yards, or people who don't want to put the gas in them...the '79 has a 400 cubic inch, 6.6 Ltr engine (wish it was the 460 ci)...you can get them here for about $800-$2500 in really good condition.
The '66 as of late, has become a pretty popular car here among the lowrider community, and such...any 60's Lincoln, especially a pre '66, tend to get pretty expensive for one in good shape...for a good one, you would probably want to put up at least $5000, thats for a nice running car...convertibles in these years usually go for about $18,000 and up...they weigh over 5000lbs, mainly due to the uni-body construction...The '66 has a 462 CI, 7.5 Ltr engine that gets about 340 HP...In my experience, if you are looking to spend any less, you are going to find a lot of basketcases. -Matt

RE: There's a Batmobile in my trunk!!
Cheers Matt for the info. I't doesn't really matter wot year as long as it Drives fine. Don't wanna have to start importing parts from USA to get the thing running but the body work doesn't bother me. The guys in the workshop are looking for something different to get their teeth into so something for about 2k just might fit the bill. Something with a BIG engine. Keep the eyes peeled mate.

Yeah...I don't think I could chop it up either...unless maybe there was a Batmobile body sitting right next to it, maybe I'd consider it then ...I guess the reality of having/building one would be a deciding factor -Matt
