Making a buck from a 1/18 scale.... So I got an interesting e-mail today. This guy sends me the following message: "I was just checking out you website and was really impressed. I have been building replica cars for 10 years. I think that one thing that the people building the batmobiles fail is by not having a real batmobile to work off of. I think I have a solution for that. We use a company called www.heavyworld.com will make you a full size foam car from a 1/18 scale model, form around $6000. Then all you have to do is create a mold on the foam body. We have used them for many projects.Such as a ferrari Enzo. They are very accurate! I am not sure if there is a true market for this car but I am sure selling the body kits would pay for itself. Feel free to ask any questions." So I checkout out the website. I wonder how much attention is given to accuracy? Maybe this would be an option for something like, the BTAS batmobile or something that is not really being produced yet? hmmmm... ------------------------ You should see my OTHER car. Its a scooter. |
