1: 1 replica. Could you drive it in the UK?
The answer is YES.
But, only if you chose your route VERY carefully. Or modified the height of the body shell (until it lost it's 'place' on the road?)
Any comments?

Doesn't the steering wheel have to be positioned on other side?

Steering wheel position doesn't matter. I shipped my 69 Corvette over there and drove it all around Germany and Europe for three years.

Put the steering wheel in the center and solve the problem!

RE: 1: 1 replica. Could you drive it in the UK?
You can...
But MOT is going to be an absolute nightmare for you and you'll have to put wipers AND washers on the car. (Stupid, but true)
Most of the problems that you'll have relate to the fact (once again) that the above mentioned Corvette went through U.S. DOT crash testing and certification which was then certified in the U.K. The Batmobile was not.
MOT is going to crawl all over the finished car checking your bumpers, amber safety lighting front and rear (You'll need to add side turn signals in places you don't want to and lighting of colors you don't want to use.)and safety devices.
The problem with driving this car over there is the same as here for the most part.
Driving this car on the street is EXACTLY like driving a limo... FROM THE BACK SEAT!!!!
The nose gets in the way. Making a right turn requires moving into the left lane like a semi truck. Only a semi doesn't have ten other cars pulling along side trying to take your picture. You move to the left lane with your right turn-signal on... and cars quickly fill up the right lane to come along side to talk to you. Then the light turns green and they won't move (most of the time, they're trying to be helpful) so you can't either and everyone just sits there at the intersection honking at each other.
BTW... How come no one ever talks about the horn in our cars" Mine used to play the opening bars of the Danny Elfman score. (I know, "cheesy" but the Dixie horn on the General Lee made everyone smile when we pulled it into place at the car shows. Was kinda fun to get everyone to clear a path with "Da... Da Da Da... Da Daaaa".) Real easy to play on the keyboard and program into the air horn.
In any case. I've noticed that the same things that plague us with driving problems for the car in the States seem a bit worse near the cities across the pond. I wouldn't go anywhere near the tiny streets of London with an 89. You'd get clipped by other cars for sure. But I'd love to take an 89 through the countryside roads that lead up to Stonehenge. Those are some beautifully smooth roads.
Cheers.

Batgod?
Who cares.
In my lifetime it's probably not going to happen anyway.
(lol)
It's impractical, i couldn't afford it and the sacrifice would be TOO much. Plus it wouldn't be road legal & (I WOULD HAVE TO drive it).
Can I still dream?

RE: 1: 1 replica. Could you drive it in the UK?
I would love to drive one around the streets of my city but looking at our roads in the UK compared the roads Tim Burton had in Batman/Returns, I just have visions of people laughing when the car gets stuck on a speed bump.
Batman wouldn't look half as hard looking like a see-saw on a speed bump !!!
