RE: Tumbler Merchandise
I just read something saying that Hotwheels is intending on releasing a two-car Tumbler set - Black and Camo - in November.
Anyone else know anything about this?

RE: Tumbler Merchandise
I'm sure they will. Look for a 1/64 scale Batmobile set with the Tumbler too. It's all about the money....

RE: Tumbler Merchandise
Well, the gigantic Tyco R/C Tumbler finally turned up here in Canada, and it's relatively inexpensive ($139 CAD) so I nabbed the one single one they had at my local store...
I'll have to see what it's got once I get the battery charged up.
It looks comically large next to the small jumping Tyco, which I ordered from the States about a month ago.

RE: Tumbler Merchandise
A picture of my Tumbler merchandise to date.
It's a reduced 640 x 480 pic, but I guess it gets the point across.
=]
Tyco jumping R/C, Mattel Deluxe (1) purple damaged version and (2) much nicer black/bronze version, just arrived Hot Wheels 1:18, Bandai 1:35 model made and put into Testor's display case, Hot Wheels 1/64 in black, camo, and another camo in display case, boxed Bandai 1:35 kit with intentions of doing a movie-correct camo paint-job, and of course the giant 1:6 Tyco R/C.
Oh, and of course, the poster in the background...

RE: Tumbler Merchandise
BTW - I mentioned earlier that I'd caught word of an intended 2-pack of the Tumbler.
Well, I got hold of a convention shot that has a sneak peek in the background...
Pretty nice... that's something I'm /very/ interested in. I think the darker colour looks a little washed out, but that's not necessarily a final-production sample.
What I saw suggested a November release, but I won't be surprised to see it sooner.
... well, later, here in Canada. But as you can see, I find ways to source these things ahead of the Canadian release schedule.

(Incidentally, I don't recall where I caught this pic from, or I'd post credit... =\)

RE: Tumbler Merchandise
Back to merchandise: I have acquired a set of the Hot Toys Snap Kits, set of 5, which includes the Tumbler and 4 other figures, and a bonus included with this set is one of a special limited run (200 total) of camo-painted Tumbler in a unique blister card package (not boxed, like the rest) which was made for the HK Comic Festival.
I also had one of those Choro Q pull-back and go Tumblers added into that order...
I'll post a picture once I take one...

RE: Tumbler Merchandise
Quick picture of the two Hot Toys Tumblers - the regular black one, and the special run (200 pcs) desert camo one.
What's interesting is, considering that these are quite small (length is about 73 mm) the camo paint-job is movie-accurate (although a bit vague due to size)... Wheels are rubber (or similar) too.
They're shown without the diorama bases that came with both - just quickly placed them together for the pic.
(Not clear, but in the background is the Choro-Q one, as well...)

RE: Tumbler Merchandise
The company is "Hot Toys".
They're from Hong Kong; I sourced them from there.
Surprisingly nice, too...
(oops; originally posted them as being Japanese, but re-checked...)

RE: Tumbler Merchandise
I've come close to purchasing one of those (or the set with Tumbler and cop car)... but, without getting the whole kit to actually /run/ it, it seems like... orphaning.

... maybe some time...
Those are great pictures of those... Good find.

RE: Tumbler Merchandise
I wish someone would start making plans and measurements using the 1/18th or the model. I think Tim wa going to do that before I side tracked him with a special project.
