Vette??
If I bought a C4 corvette, does it have the correct wheelbase for the 89' body or does the chassis have to be lengthened?

RE: Vette??
Ok I'm confused. When I asked on here about using a Corvette all I heard was that I shouldn't use one. I heard to use a Caprice. And I could have sworn that Mark was one of the people that actually told me not to use a vette. I'll have to go back and hunt for that thread. Not that it matters, I won't be able to start my car for a long time but I originally thought the vette would line up better.

RE: Vette??
That would be correct Nitro. Well spotted. I'll still build the 66 but passion is driving me towards the 89'. My garage will have a roof in 2-3 weeks so at least I can start kitting it out with tools, hydrolic ramp and spray booth and section off the half thats connected to the house thats visible from the theatre room. If I can't do anything on the car i'll at least be able to play around with foam spray to fabricate rocks and stuff. Looking forward to gettin messy.

RE: Vette??
How much are you willing to charge?
...and are you talking about fabricating/machining the parts or do you have a source for original parts?

RE: Vette??
Mark, you should know by now that if you or anyone offers a deal that seems to good to be true then you have to back it up with pictures.

RE: Vette??
Jeasus all I wanna do is buy a car. Didn't know there were so many options. There is a 96 Caprice in England which is just across the water from me. The body is in shite but it only has 40k on the clock and runs sweeter than a swiss watch which is perfect. Some poor eejit's ex-bitch threw paint remover all over it when they broke up. Poor shite. He's lookin €3,500 as is. Taking into account is saves me shipping from the States I think thats ok or am I being ripped off???

RE: Vette??
WOW! I don't know about you guys, but $7,000 for a 96 Caprice sounds like a lot to me. As for me I think I'll go back to looking for a Vette. Later fellow crime fighters.
