Tumbler Replica
Something to ponder about.
After someone does build a full scale replica of the tumbler can the car ever be registered street legal?

RE: Tumbler Replica
Technically you only need a side mirror on the driver's side, and taht can be easily removed. Turn signals can easily be installed and not detract form the desing. Everyting that need to be on this car can be. I think because it has so much going on, it's much easier to disguise things without people noticing

RE: Tumbler Replica
You know what.... I think it would be a mistake to try to build a tumbler replica.... Warners view the new car as the new definitive batmobile. They will surely protect that car from builders, and it could lead to alot of unwanted attention. If you are going to build it... fine. But for god's sake keep quiet about it, and only share info on it with people you trust.

RE: Tumbler Replica
Who has time to build it? Maybe a smaller version, maybe even a Go-Cart.

RE: Tumbler Replica
The guys over at dullam-causey.com are going to build a replica. On page 3 of their gallery section are five pictures of what they've got so far. They're just the wheels/tires right now, but it'll be interesting to see how they go about building it. Hopefully they'll do a good job of documenting the project.

RE: Tumbler Replica
the Dullum-Causey tumbler will be a non functioning replica, not a drivable car, just the same as the Forever car they are working on.

RE: Tumbler Replica
This is what Bobby Causey had to say about their Forever car recently.
Hi by the end of may it will be almost finished , then I want to go over every inch and make sure it is pristine every single place.
so I think by the end of summer it will be inside out finished , but the engine is already in as well as the motorized canopy.
Sounds to me like it will be functional. They are also going to a lot of trouble ensuring the Tumbler has Disc brakes. I would guess it would have an engine also.

RE: Tumbler Replica
Good call there Jack. Bob told me the same thing about his Forever car, so I expected the Tumbler to be functional, also.

RE: Tumbler Replica
When the car images were shown originally, it was stated that the car was only a smaller scale model, it was never stated at that time it would be functional.

RE: Tumbler Replica
Ours is full-scale (tumbler) and it will be fully functional. Look at the site around mid-may there will be lots of tumbler progress shots. From Mid-May till the end of June that's what I will be working on mostly. Up to this point most of my work has been the suit, the belt, and right now the gas/magnetic grappling gun, and the Nomex military survival suit. Also in May more shots of the 95' car as it winds down. That too will be fully-functional.
