Hot Wheels 1:18th Scale Tumbler angst!
Man, I just got my 1:18th diecast BB Tumbler this week and I must say I am not a happy Guido. The sculpt and detailing are terrific, but what the heck is the deal with the half@$$ job Mattel & company did on the opening cockpit canopy? The thing only opens about half way and you can't really see all that much more of the driver's compartment than you could with it closed. On top of that, they dumped the side windows so that you can get your fingers inside to finish sliding the windshield into its closed position. How lame is that? Me thinks this calls for a trip to the work bench to see if Guido can make this baby work properly. Is there anyone else out there who is as miffed about this as I am?

There are no side windows so that the interiors can be seen.
And besides, i don't think any die cast model can perfectly replicate the way the Tumbler opens up in the movies. It's just way too mechanical.
