Embarrasing Bat Photos C'mon!!! You know you've all done it!!! Let's see how many of you were brave enough to take photos of you doing it!!! NO... I'm not talking about "BatPorn" I've got huge files on that, but I'm not about to share those with anyone right now. I'm talking about this v v v v v v v v 
How many of you have climbed in the kiddie ride at the Walmart, the grocery store or the mall and actually have the pics in your bat collection. You mean you've not done it on a dare? Those of you who have... Let's see the pics. I did mine at the auto show when we had the 89 Batmobile on display right next to it. I "did it" in a suit and tie... But I've never "done it" in a Batsuit. Where have you done it?

When there were still only 4 "Original cars" on the planet. This is the #3 "Bat Fuzz" car with an impetuous "Bat Demi-God" who'd just jumped the ropes to touch it. But we digress.... You mean NO ONE has had the urge to climb in one of those cars and snap a pic? Those things are everywhere! And they have 89's, 66's, Batcopters and even a few odd shaped ones that got painted to look like Bat cars. I think it's time for a scavenger hunt! I'll put up a missile door desk set (missile door cover pulled from the original screen used mold (OK, so I was a bit of a clepto when I worked for Jay... IT WAS BATMAN GUYS CMON!)and turned into a pen and pencil set with a Bat sticker and Keaton car ERTL glued to it and a plaque that says "Actual piece of the Batmobile made exclusively for the desk of " "." I used to give them out for Xmas presents in 92.)and a fibreglass wheel bat from the 89. Goes to the person who can get us the silliest picture of them in as many Bat kiddie cars as they can find. Bonus points if you're wearing a Bat shirt Extra bonus points if you're wearing a CLTC shirt Even more points if there's a huge crowd in the photo Double bonus points if you're wearing a Bat suit Triple points if it's a newspaper clipping. End of the summer is the deadline Sept. 1. DH, Justin and Jack have the final decision, but we should all be able to comment to them as to our favorites. I'm not playing, it's too easy for me and I want to have fun watching. Besides... I started this with my pic. YOUR TURN!!!!

RE: Embarrasing Bat Photos DH, You could have just "asked" I'd have given you one. We used to use the silicone Bathub mold to pour the excess resin into when we were done glassing. (That's a lot of Bathubs!) Then I sold the silicone mold when I started making mine out of Aluminum billet instead. Same thing with the missile doors. Was at a flea market and bought a case of ERTL 89's and a roll of stickers cheap in 91. Local mall engraving store takes care of the rest. Hardest thing about making these is having to rip open vintage ERTL's to glue them to the base. Now I just pour the extra resin into Stormtrooper and C-3PO molds instead. I have a lot of hubs in a box in the glass room. Send me a PM with your address. Makes a cool paper weight. I screwed a bunch of them to a machine gun door and made a coat rack out of it for my nephew. You make all kinds of silly stuff when you have extra time. I made a canopy bed out of the front of an 89 once. Made a bar for a club out of the shield molds. Made a chair out of the 89 nose once.

RE: Embarrasing Bat Photos Will do DH, But, yet again... "Those were the days of hard copy!" Have to scan a pic and they're all down at the office. Going tonight after dinner. Having Candi for dinner. 
Candi I'll go through my files and come up with some interesting Bat pics too. I'll take a pic of some of the hubs in the glass room too. Have to clean up a missile door before I can hammer out another pen and pencil set. But I've got at least a month to do that, right? I can sand and polish a 5 inch by 11 inch flat piece of fibreglass in that time, I'm pretty sure.(When I'm not busy making Justin's car parts.) Krikey!!! I just remembered I have a few bathub pics in my files here. Here you go... 
These are raw and out of the mold, but I'll clean one up and paint it before handing it over as part of the "prize". 
So let's see how "Bat silly" everyone can get around here. I do like the pic of the lawnmower though. But no crowd.

Look at that Jack guy Just a few short weeks ago a normal eccentric with a gothic avenger and today a yard mowing bat costume wearing sad man.
