Rekindling an old thread

I am bringing this topic up again because it still strikes my curiosity. And now there are many more people here that could actually help and that probably know what I'm talking about.

Hmmmmmm....Glowy things. I'll have to watch the movie AGAIN and look out for that. All eyes are generally on the Batmobile.

I concur with "Sonny Crockett" - "You're freakin nuts..."
Actually I'll have to break out the films again and check it out. For being a detail oriented guy, I can;t say I ever noticed them...

I have two glowy things on my car. They are called headlights. I think they added center headlights to the civi cars just to make them different.
You're freakin' nuts..

So far Tim, you have given me the closest thing to an answer that I was looking for. I wasn't sure if it was some sort of third headlight or Christmas decor or what.

Were they DeSoto's (or whatever car it was that had the third headlight)?

Nope. Look at every vehicle and you will see it. I bet fanaticsincebirth would know what I'm talking about. He was a batman fan since 1988, born in 1983.

RE: Rekindling an old thread
I think it was just a production budget issue. I guess they got a discount on the cookie-cutter cars. If you look at Batman Returns again, you will notice that virtuall ALL of the civilian cars are the exact same model sedan (except for Alfred's car, and the cops, which aren't civilians). Personally I think it hurt the film's realism. Yes I know it's a comic movie, and the viewer is supposed to suspend a certain amount disbelief, but what are the chances that every one of Gotham's citizens would buy the same car---especially since in that same Bat-universe 3 years earlier, they had a healthy variety of cars?
