RE: tire size
Depends on what donor car you use. Right Kevin? Jack?

RE: tire size
When I was starting to do my 89' car I went to lane automotive and got the biggest Micky t's they had w/ the centerline wheels. Man, those were cool. If I remember, 18" across looked like a couple of steam rollers. very powerful look. I wanted to be faithful to the original concept, so I had a couple of GM chassis widened to 141" (is that right?). Long time ago.

RE: tire size
Bob, I think you would have had to narrow the rear end to get those to fit in rear wheel wells.

RE: tire size
Arguing yes but all arguments end in a final group decision which is generaly the best decision. believe me when I say since I joined the CLTC forum, these guys are the best in the business and the most professional at what they do and we should be privilaged to be in their company. Amongst the posters here we have the best of the best from scratch build hopefuls to movie contracted professionals. I for 1 am humbled with the tallent that surround's me and can only dream of the collection that they have acheived and hope some day I can posess the prop's they have acumalatated. It is at this time that I wish that when the stupid career's adviser asked me what I wanted to be I said a computer programmer. BITCH

RE: tire size
We hate repeating ourselves here. Read above - IT DEPENDS ON YOUR DONOR CAR. That is part of the build process - determining which wheels to use.

RE: tire size
rusty, if you can't take the time to read the threads then well...... I think somewhere there are even close ups of the real tires. You really need to read all of the old threads. Didn't Nate do a thread where he combined all the important info?
rusty get to reading.....

RE: tire size
Our posts here are more like conversations so they do seem to get off topic but that's just how it works. Most of us here check the board hoping to see new posts. Consider yourself lucky to have so much to read rather than looking at it as a burden. Here's a tip though, use Google's advanced search to find info from this site.
