I could have told you that 3 years ago. I can tell you whos canopy and trunk lid are laying on the ground beside the then cut in half mold. Yep, mine......
The story goes. The main body was originally one piece when Yancey got it. He cut it in half and added flanges around the cut on both the front and rear half. He said he did it because he was having a hard time removing and storing the bodies. I wish mine would have been in one piece like Kevin's.

Why couldnt you add structure like plastic 2x4s to the bodys while fiberglassing them, like they do with stringers in a boat for mounting as well as stength.Tim i think we talked about this before, but then we started talking about boats.

Boats are great craic. My Dad used to have one. Not a big one. 21ft Sea Ray speed boat. It used to have a 2ltr petrol inboard but it wasn't quick enough so he took it out and put in a 5.7 V8. Man could it shift.

I wish mine would have been one piece just so everything would have lined up better. Of course mine came out of some pretty crappy molds. Good Luck and keep us posted. Mark looks like you owe the webmaster another finders fee.

So you like the idea of having the single piece body so that it lines up perfectly? Makes sense. Paul told me the same thing. I always thought it would be nice to have the lip flange added in to the mold, but I guess its more trouble than it is worth, yes?

The flange would be great but not the way mine was done. It would be best if someone pulled molds from their body after getting it totally straight and perfect. Like Kevin is planning on doing.
