RE: Big BM model
Other than the 1:1 scale "models" that several people are working on, the largest commercially sold model Batmobile is the Richman's Toys 1/10 scale Radio Controlled version...which is a sweet car, but still not 100% accurate to the movie car, especially around the trunk area and side mechanics. There's a bunch of other nitpicks wrong with it but it strikes the best balance between accuracy and large size, and was the single best 1989 Batmobile model/replica/toy available IMHO, until the Hotwheels 1:18 was released.
More info about it can be found in the "Collection" section of this website. If you want one, just scour eBay for a while, they pop up relatively frequently for a pretty penny.

RE: Big BM model
I found a guy, on ebay, who's selling a 1:7 scale model. Its from studio 2 model. Anyone heard of them? Or know where I can get ahold of them.
Yah I'll buy a 1:1 too, you'll take my batman mastercard platinum right?

RE: Big BM model
I assume it's this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Batman-Batmobile-big-1-8-scale-resin-kit_W0QQitemZ6019637952QQcategoryZ1193QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It looks good, but I don't think Studio 2 models ever had a license to produce Batmobiles, and I never heard of them before.

RE: Big BM model
It might be way off. But I just wanted to recast the body and fix it. I just wanted a nice big model for a diarama. But hey at that size I might be able to put my cat in it and let him drive it around.
I've been googling like crazy trying to find studio 2 models. No luck yet. If anyone finds something post it.

RE: Big BM model
Now worries. Around here having the wrong hood latches makes a replica way off lord only knows what they think of a car with the wrong wheels and tires. Lots of perfectionist on CLTC. Some of which have never shown any of their own work. Go figure. You have actually now posted more pictures of your project then some of them member who have been here since the begging. Thank you for sharing. I think it looks great and yes I would love to have it in my collection. Welcome to CLTC!!!

RE: Big BM model
Thanks for the warm welcome, About the model.... The master is made entirely from plasticard stock cut, glued and sanded to shape. The fins were cut in profile then built up with P38 Filler (Bondo to you guys) then the scallops were scooped out. Any compound curve areas such as the top of the cockpit area are mostly cyno glue hardend with Zip kicker after severe sanding. I've got a couple of pics of the half built master in an album which i will find and post.

RE: Big BM model
Sorry about the off-the-cuff comment. I meant it more in the sense that this is definitely not a studio miniature. I figured it was some Japanese knock-off and for that price... (currently $324.75)
Anyway, knowing more about it now, I think you did a great job and you deserve to get whatever you can out of it (them?) "off" doesn't mean "bad". I like it a lot. You built yours very similar to the way I've built mine only I used foam board instead of plastic and mine is way way way off!
I'm looking forward to your build pics.
