Side Mechs

Would the side mechs on Ptereson's museum car have parts number and such?
I may go down to LA during spring break and I would not mind gonig to the museum and taking few close up pics if the side mchs on this car have those elusive part or serial numbers

RE: Side Mechs

No, it's a Jay car and it is fiberglass just like all the others. Only the #1&2 cars have the real equipment.

RE: Side Mechs

Good question,
it's just up the street from me (about 4-5 miles) but I haven't heard
it's lineage as being a movie car. It might well be a $$$ WB official
car at worst, as Petersen does their homework and doesn't buy junk.

This was in a DARK room, with a digital camera and no tripod, but the big clues are there, it has the wipers, the "upside down" turbine. If you guys could verify the side mechanics as a real car I would go down and take more photos. If it's a WB clone I don't think it's worth the effort.
Let me know!

Chip Foose, I am your doppleganger

RE: Side Mechs

Those are the Jay O's fiberglass side pieces with metal parts attached to them. The car is a Jay car not an original of any kind.
