looks like it may be an adjustable fuel pressure regulator or a bypass or a switch/valve to pull fuel from dual fuel tanks, whatever it is I would suspect it to be fuel related because of the AN style fittings. The zinc colored object to the right of the silver box looks just like a high volume carter fuel pump.

In answer to your question about the first picture. The silver block looks like a primitive hydraulic manifold its got high pressure braded hoses coming form the left hand side (looks home made). The part its attached to (to the right) is possible a hydraulic pressure regulator/filter or even a pressure relief valve (PRV for short). I don't know much about the tumbler but I'm guessing it had some hydraulic systems?

I will definatly be back

Hey ATOlink, dont know if it helps, but i can tell you that this bar actuates the flaps, thru a series of bars, and hiem joints, they can throw all 6 flaps up with the movement of one main bar.

Have you seen this?

http://flickr.com/photos/jaffathecake/2651218994/sizes/o/  it was on the side window of the Tumbler on display, IF its accurate, then that means that my 3D model is off.

I just stumbled onto this thread, checked out the flickr pics. I'd never seen the picture with the stats until today. I converted Mtr's to inches, went out and measured my car. I found that my dimension betwen the inside front wheels was almost exact, and the dims between my inside rear wheels, were almost 31". the stats are 31.4960. I swear to god someone on a higher level must want me to build this thing, cause this has to be almost stupid clueless dooda luck.
