Here are the transmission deminsions best i could find for you, i will have the engine block dimensions later on today hopefully.   OH and i was thinking about it, you might wanna consider this http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/replica-engines.htm these things come in handy if you are spacing for an engine you havent gotten yet, very lightweight might i add, might wanna call them up and see if they offer one in the GM 60 degree block (if thats whats coming from your buick you tell about), because those pictured are all 90 degree blocks.  lol, and yeah i DID just draw up that schematic for the transfer case, took me a whole 2 minutes

whup, sorry, >< didnt know they were that expensive for that model offered.  ive been considering getting a block and tranny from them myself, considering i will be running the same engine and tranny in my camaro, my corvette, my '35 sedan, my 4x4 truck,.....my other truck,....the batmobile.....um....list keeps going gosh im so behind.  i got my fiance bringing my powerblock book to me in about 20 minutes, i should be able to post dimensions of the engine (or atleast a rough estimate of  L x W x H, here in a bit.

and here it is, sad thing is i DIDNT remember that it didnt have schematics for the heads, or various intakes available, SO that leaves just the bare block used for the 60 degree engines, AND the other sad thing is its in...some measurement...other than inches and feet, and im totally confusuzzled as to what it is i spent the last hour trying to convert the measurments you needed into inches to make things easier for you, but i have failed

Shagg..whoa! no problemo...you've done too much! nice schematic! V6 Huh? I'm still actually trying to visualize it. is it upside down? the bottom view makes sense to me but I'll have to keep staring at the others. millimeters maybe? i need to find more pics like this one. Don't go crazy though...I've got a while yet till the engine anyway - next for me is the incredibly original body. I'm staring at the body panels on my hot wheels tumbler. very good replica as I've seen some toy versions that just suck.
vette? camaro? 1935 model? Ok Jay Leno . wow where do you keep it all....which one will drag the empty cans after the wedding?

thanks again for your help !!

lol, well, thats where my OTHER, other truck comes into play, an 85 silverado, all original, then im going to rely on my brothers ford taurus to get us to Tennesee, i hear there is a batmobile (the '89) there somewhere in Gatlinburg and i want to find it during our honeymoon.   (its one stop, whereas all the OTHER car museum stops where her ideas lol)   And as far as where i keep all my automobiles, i rent an apartment, so i cant very well put them all outside, so i keep them on my fathers 40 acres, way off in the woods with hardly an access road to them. (you literally have to drive thru someone elses cow pasture to get to the land)  But, yeah the engine blocks are all sitting upright (with the exception of the bottom, its on its side)  the 60 degree block sits tall and narrow, and the bell housing is COMPLETLY different from any standard V8 chevy produced (such as 305, 307, 327, 350 etc).  My friend has a Buick Century, i will pop the hood on his car in a couple of weeks and get down with a measuring tape and get you much better LxWxH measurments next time.   Until then, Happy Building ^_^

lol...."drive through someone else's pasture" that's great! HA! How I long for acreage. I love NY but this Long Island is getting waaayyyy to crowded and you pay a fortune for very very, very little property. My dream is a secluded place somewhere in upstate NY. Preferably with a cave. Wifey's family is moving to North Carolina and she shows interest, so that's an option too. It's just so damn expensive here. AND NICE...seeing a batmobile on the honeymoon...you are a true fan and definitely belong here. And, if I read it correctly, isn't it great to have a woman that's into cars? i'm also one of the lucky ones.
Shagg, like I said I truly don't want you to go out of your way and appreciate the info you get...there are not many hours in the day and I know we all try to cram in a million things in an hour. So again, don't go nuts, but thank you a million.

Talladega, has a good bit of Acres available, just with my pay i cant afford any of it, yeah she is totally into cars, in fact, as soon as the honeymoon is over she is going to finish building my fuel injected 305 to put back in my GMC i just got.  Then its off to get other things running.  but anywho, as far as me going out of my way, TRUST ME, as i sit here and post replies, i have nothing to do, im serious.  I come to work, at 7am (its 8:14 right now) and within an hour im finished with everything i need to get done that day, then i sit around for another 8 hours, and literally get paid to chat with you fine folks.  And i know that i got my own build to be working on, but i cant do that until i get off work, so between the time im away from my own build, and amongst other things, the time that scrounge up all this information for you is BY NO MEANS putting me out of my way.   Im one of those fortunate individuals that feels 50 times better when i see that someone else has benifited from something i helped them with, rather than vice versa.   I love helping others, always have, always will. so if you need ANYTHING just let me know.

OH YEAH, almost forgot, you just need a motor and transmission from a car right? not the car itself, WELL, if you have a place called "pull-a-part" http://pullapart.com/ anywhere around you, you can get a transmission WITH a 30 day warranty for like 60 bucks, and a complete engine for 170 bucks, WITH a 30 day warranty, the only downfall is you gotta pull it out yourself and use your own tools.   The good thing is, i shop there all the time, and the cars are off the ground for you, preset on stands, so its easy to get under, over, and around the car.   And with something as big as an engine pull, they will offer you a cherry picker (least....thats all what they do here in Bama )  But i thought about that yesterday afternoon when i talked to my fiance about a 4.3 chevy, going down in her ford ranger .
